Army Inspiration
October 30, 2015 at 5:15 pm 1

This military trend has been all over lately from jackets, vest, jumpsuits and button downs. I like the simplicity of the vest paired with boyfriend jeans. Here I just threw on some suede booties for running around town, but you can easily pair the look with some heels to add a feminine touch. Have you worn any army inspired looks lately? Tell me how you styled yours in the comments below!

October 29, 2015 at 4:35 pm 0
I have started to make lists of my current must haves for fall and thought I would share them with you. I love making these style layouts as they make great shopping and wish lists! The holidays are just around the corner, and these make buying gifts for friends and family (or yourself, because you deserve it) really simple!

The Kaleidoscope Effect+A Rule To Live By
October 29, 2015 at 3:18 pm 0
This bohemian maxi dress caught my eye with this amazing pattern. The floral print is made to have a kaleidoscope effect when you look at it. If you follow me on Instagram then you already know my love of the maxi dress due to the fact that it is super comfortable and pretty much a one stop shop for an outfit. I find that most of my maxi dresses are very monochromatic and do not usually have a pattern, so this one was a little out of the box for me. So naturally I went by my "Rule to Live By" when trying new styles or looks. You know what every one says when you are out shopping, "Try it on, it may look different on, than on the hanger". You will find that you will be pleasantly surprised when you find new fits or styles, and  you also will save yourself time on returns by taking the extra time to visit the fitting room!

Our Secret Spot and The Nuby Bath Book
October 29, 2015 at 1:32 am 0
You know those days when you feel a little overwhelmed as a parent. The house is a mess, laundry is everywhere and I probably have Cheerios stuck to my face. The only good thing to do is...well go for a walk (haha leave, and run away) with my little girl. We always find comfort in our walks and exploring the nature around our house. Our favorite place to run away to is the beach. I always grab a blanket, some snacks and toys. One of Willow's favorite toys is actually this Nuby Bath Book. Yes I know it's meant for the tub, but its the perfect material for the beach, playground or park with its water-proof pages. The book is durable and easily to clean, and even has hidden squeakers that Willow just finds hilarious. It's perfect for all ages and can be found at Meijer. After Willow has had her fun reading her Nuby book, and enjoying a snack, we walk back to our messy house, and you know what...it's all just fine! I find it puts things in perspective and that my time with her is all that matters! image-3 image

The Transitional Turtleneck
October 28, 2015 at 7:23 pm 0
The turtleneck trend is nothing new, in fact it has been around since the late 19th century, at that time they were primarily worn by sailors, navy men, and officers (hey-read The Chic Mamas and learn something new!). The turtleneck is a surprisingly versatile piece that can be worn during those last days of fall and right on through the winter. As a closet staple, this is exactly why the turtleneck should be your next purchase!

This year's turtleneck comes in a variety of forms including shirts, dresses, tunics...the list goes on. For this year, when I think about my top picks for the turtleneck I look for:

The Chunky Sweater

This Turtleneck Poncho on SALE for 30% OFF

The Cropped and Fitted Style

This Turtleneck Dress that comes in 5 colors (paired with boots, easiest outfit to pull together in a hurry...Mom's do you feel me?)

DRESS (comes in 5 colors, only $58)| BOOTS (0ld) similar HERE and a suggestion to spice up your #OOTD HERE
