Manifesting My Next Beach Vacation
August 11, 2015 at 4:47 am 1
I totally believe in the laws of attraction, and I am putting out some good vibes while I envision myself on a tropical beach vacation. This Kimono dress is the perfect outfit to do add to my dream of sipping a margarita with my toes in the sand.  I love the modern take on the traditional style, and the trend was all over the Spring 2015 runways. Now to be realistic, half the clothes I see on the runway never really translate into wearable pieces for me. Yet the Kimono, which actually means "thing to wear", is easy, mom friendly, and comes in so many variations. You can find the Kimono trend in dresses, tops, bathing suit cover ups, capes, ponchos, coats and the list goes on. I found some amazing options of Kimono dresses as well as other styles below. Tell me what your favorite way to wear your Kimono is in the comments below!

Pops of Color
August 4, 2015 at 4:59 am 0
I spy a little one in the background... Willow is the most curious of toddlers these days. She has to be in the mix of everything and I believe she has a serious fear of missing out on anything. I wouldn't change her personality for the world. She is just so much fun at this age. She snuck into these photos and I love how they turned out!!  I have had this white dress for a long time and one of my favorite things to do is reinvent my wardrobe! I always keep basic pieces, like this white draped dress, because they are so easy to dress up. Add some fun pops of color in your accessories and a new outfit is born! Easy, cheap, and fun!!

5 Date Night Ideas + Snakeskin
August 3, 2015 at 4:31 am 0
Sometimes it's fun to spice it up and dress up for your man. I love this snakeskin print and the back cut out detail of the dress. Here are 5 fun date night ideas you can use whether it be your first date, or your 5th year anniversary. Let me know what your favorite date night ideas are in the comments below, I am always looking for new inspirations! 2015.07.08_ChicMamasBlog_WEB-175 2015.07.08_ChicMamasBlog_WEB-176 Details: Dress AQUA (old) SnakeSkin Dress/Heels Shoemint Similar Here/Glasses Ray-Bans 1. Go to that new restaurant you have been dying to try! Aj and I always like finding new places in our neighborhood and dropping in to test the menu and drinks. I love the idea of finding new places together and exploring the city (in Los Angeles there is always a new bar or restaurant opening!). 2. Find an outdoor music festival or concert. Pack a picnic basket filled with some goodies, and enjoy the live entertainment. During the summer the Santa Monica pier has "Twilight Concerts" on the beach every Thursday night. There is something magical about sitting outside under the stars with your partner while a band performs for you. 3. Try a new workout class together. I know this is probably the last idea on anyone's list! I use to be so weird about taking new classes with Aj when we started dating, but it really stemmed from my own insecurities. Now we try to work out together because we have really grown to love it. Taking a new class together puts you both out of your comfort zones, and gives you something to connect over. We always laugh later when one of us does the wrong move or I'm literally almost dying when a class is really hard. 4. Dress up, well...just to dress up. Sometimes it's butterflies all over again when you take the time to get dolled up for each other. I love picking out a new outfit and hearing Aj comment, "Wow"! I love telling him how handsome he is as well. It doesn't mean you have to find the fanciest spot to go to. It's more for each other. 5. Spa it up! These days you can experience this without leaving your own house! There are so many apps for spa and beauty services that literally come straight to your doorstep (Like Priv or Soothe). The best part is that many of these companies offer discount codes for signing up. Aj and I had a couples massage in our living room after putting the baby to bed one night. It was amazing and we didn't even have to get a sitter!

The Beauty Kitchen   1. Rose Water Hydrating Mist is a perfect refresher after a workout, hike, or simply running around. It is a must have for me. It's actually the last step in my beauty routine, as I use it to set my make up! It is always in my beach bag and gives the perfect refresher to tired or dry skin. It is great for skin after sun exposure. 2. Rose Geranium Cleansing Oil is made with rice bran oil, coconut oil, Beauty Kitchen's skin softening oils and essential oils of Rose and Geranium. It is perfect for taking off make up, but I also like to use it post beach days to clean the sweat and sunscreen off my face at the end of the day. I love that it is made with all natural oils so I even put it on Willow's skin from time to time too. 3. Lavender Take A Breath Skin Polish is one of my favorite products!! Not only is the lavender soothing, but the scrub is perfect for removing dry skin. I use it multiple times a week, always before shaving my legs, and getting a spray tan. If I know I am going to be at the pool or beach I use it the day before to give my skin that polished look. 4. Sage Shake It Off Lotion  is perfect for a relaxing day at the beach or poolside. I use it all over my body before heading out to lay in the sun. Heather Marianna, the creator of The Beauty Kitchen also recommends using the Sage Shake it Off Lotion before yoga. This is another product I also carry  with me. It's made with 100% natural ingredients and a sage and lavender blend. 5. Dead Sea Mud Beauty Bar improves the look of your skin by improving elasticity and minimizing pores, wrinkles and lines. When it dries, toxins that may be present in your skin cells from your everyday diet are drawn out. Your face and body will feel clean and refreshed. This is an all-natural soap free of chemicals, dyes, and perfumes 6. The After Sun Aloe Spray is made with organic Aloe Vera ingredients, Aloe Vera Gel, Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Rose Water, Distilled water and Beauty Kitchen's blend of essential oils to fight sunburns. This is your perfect "to go to" item for after relaxing in the sun. 7. Bye Bye Cellulite Coffee Scrub is jam packed with grapefruit (white and pink), orange (blood and sweet), fine coffee grains, sea buckthorn, peppermint and lemongrass. This sugar scrub stimulates fat cells using coffee’s natural caffeine properties. The cooling sensation works like magic, creating micro-stimulation on cellulite-prone areas! Need I say more!! I use this religiously, it is an awesome product!! 2015.07.17_ChicMamasBlog_WEB-36   Photo Credit: Kate Haus Photography
